S-Tier Year In Review – 2025

S-Tier Year In Review – 2025

Intro

2025 was a year of momentum, focus, and steady progress.

It was our busiest year to date – not just in terms of output, but in decisions made, processes refined, and foundations laid for what comes next. From shipping more projects than ever, to contributing back to the WordPress community, launching our own product, and preparing for major platform changes ahead, this year pushed us to grow without losing sight of what matters: building things that last.

30+ Projects

As we mentioned: 2025 was, without question, our busiest year so far. Despite being a small team, we successfully delivered 30+ projects across a wide range of industries and use cases.

From lean presentation websites to complex hybrid solutions, custom web apps and online stores.
Performance and usability-driven WordPress builds, each project demanded attention to detail, speed, and long-term maintainability. Managing this volume while keeping our standards high wasn’t easy – but it reinforced the strength of our processes and the value of a tightly aligned team.

Several of these projects are showcased on our portfolio page.

WordCamps & Meetups

In 2025, we were proud to be part of multiple WordCamps and local meetups, where our team member Z was invited to speak and share real, behind-the-scenes experiences from long-term client work.

One of the key talks focused on the Sayari Project case study — a journey that spanned a couple of years. The story wasn’t just about building a website, it was about building trust. Moving from a familiar, comfortable approach and backend to the S-Tier approach and Framework required patience, clear communication, and a deep understanding of the client’s business. The result was not only a stronger digital product, but a healthier long-term partnership.

Another major topic was our productivity and workflow tools, and how we use them to stay efficient without adding unnecessary complexity. The emphasis wasn’t on tools for the sake of tools, but on creating an optimized, repeatable process that allows a small team to deliver consistently at a high level.

We also hosted several Ask Me Anything sessions, opening up honest discussions around WordPress, performance, client communication, and agency growth – sharing both wins and hard-earned lessons with the community.

Moved to new office

While we remain a remote-first agency, 2025 marked a meaningful step forward with our move to a new office space.

The office isn’t about returning to a traditional way of working – it’s about having the right environment when it matters. A place to meet in person, brainstorm ideas, onboard new team members, and have focused conversations that are often easier face to face.

Being intentional about how and when we use physical space allows us to keep the flexibility of remote work, while still benefiting from real-world collaboration. It’s another example of choosing what’s practical and effective over what’s conventional.

Launched Kanban Plugin

In 2025, we officially launched Kanban Plugin – a product that started as an internal tool built out of necessity and evolved into a standalone solution.

Existing project management tools we used were powerful, but often overwhelming – too many features, too many clicks, and too much context switching. We wanted something simpler, faster, and tightly integrated into the place where we and our clients already work every day: WordPress.

What began as an in-house system to manage client work, tasks, and team collaboration quickly proved its value.
That’s when we decided to release Kanban Plugin publicly, offering a free version for individuals and small teams, and a Pro version for teams that need more advanced functionality, and are facing the same challenges – all directly inside the WordPress dashboard, without switching platforms.

WordPress 7 & the S-Tier Framework

Technology doesn’t stand still — and neither does WordPress.

With WordPress 7 planned for release in late 2026 or 2027, a major architectural shift is already on the horizon. One of the most significant changes is the move toward a fully iFrame-based backend editor, which will redefine how blocks, layouts, and custom tooling interact with the admin experience.

To stay ahead of this transition, we’ve started upgrading the S-Tier Framework and our custom blocks to Block API v3. This ensures full compatibility with the upcoming editor changes, while preserving performance, flexibility, and long-term maintainability.

Rather than reacting after the release, we’re treating this as an opportunity to future-proof our workflow – making sure that projects built today remain stable, scalable, and aligned with where WordPress is heading next.

S-Tier Dev Website

In 2025, we refreshed the S-Tier Dev website with a more minimalist design approach, focusing on clarity, structure, and performance – while staying true to the core S-Tier brand identity.

The goal wasn’t a full redesign, but a refinement. Removing visual noise, improving content hierarchy, and making the experience more intentional allowed the work and messaging to stand out without distraction.

Conclusion

Looking back, 2025 wasn’t about chasing trends or doing more for the sake of it. It was about doing the right things well.

We delivered at scale as a small team, shared real-world experience with the community, invested in our own product, adapted our framework for the future of WordPress, and refined our own brand and workspace along the way. Each step reinforced the same principle: long-term thinking beats short-term wins.

2026 – And beyond

As we move into 2026, the focus remains the same – clarity, performance, trust, and sustainable growth. The work continues, but the foundation is stronger than ever.

And we’re genuinely looking forward to 2026.

Not as a vague promise, but as a year we’ve already been preparing for. We have big plans ahead – some ambitious, some experimental – and we know it won’t be smooth or predictable, but that is a exiting part of the journey.
It’s going to be turbulent at times, but also fun, focused, and highly productive.
The groundwork laid in 2025 gives us confidence that we’re ready for what’s coming next.
